Module 3 Summary

Chapter 3 has 2 sessions.

Session 3.1:

Exploring the capabilities of the internet is made possible by search engines. These platforms function by browsing and organizing web pages employing algorithms to connect your search queries with information. To excel at searching it's essential to tune your searches! Incorporate a variety of keywords. Phrases to target what you're looking for. Additionally narrowing down your search to websites can help you zero in on the relevant results. Don't overlook the importance of images! Search engines can identify websites based on uploaded images making them particularly useful for recognizing objects or similar content.

Session 3.2:

Mastering the skill of searching involves more than using keywords. Logical operators such as AND OR and NOT play a role in refining your searches. Helps narrow down results by requiring all terms to be present while OR broadens the search by including pages with any of the terms. On the hand NOT helps in excluding terms from your search. Evaluating information is essential too. Credibility is established through sources such as journals or well-known organizations. It's important to check for author credentials, updates and objective language when assessing information. Additionally employing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques can enhance your search engine experience. Help you make the most out of your searches.
